This extended family ski in camp is to be located at the entry point of the Lookout Chair, Northstar at Tahoe. Near the foot of Lookout Mountain, the site slopes at roughly 12 % down to the north. The snow stays long on this face of the Mountain.

An elongated east west axis maximizes solar gain and drives a directional assemblage of glass, stone and hardwood. A ground source heat pump system provides climate control in winter and summer. Triple glazing with thermal night insulating sliding panels soften the impact of an over glazed form. A sun terrace inscribed into the mountain collects the south sun and serves a  hot pool. Fitted for outdoor projection video, the terrace is activated at night with fires and home video ski movies.
