2011 AIA Central Valley Honor Award

A Greg Faulkner designed house has received the highest award from the Central Valley Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. The 2011 Honor Award is to be publicly announced at an event to be held at the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento on May 20.

The AIA confers this award upon the Architect who has designed a significant Work of Architecture. The house is located in Martis Camp, Truckee, California. A restrained pallet of board formed concrete, rusting Corten steel, reclaimed redwood and large expanses of glass allow this pavilion like house to fit into its natural alpine setting.
